RISER INSTALLATION
Take the guess work
out of finding your septic
As a homeowner it is usually a good idea to know where your septic tank access lid is located, but often many homeowners aren’t sure where to even start looking. Most septic tank systems are installed to be out of sight and out of mind, until of course an emergency happens.
Septic lids can be buried 2 to 3 feet or more below the ground’s surface, making it a bit of a guessing game. To take the guesswork out of the equation, you may want to have a septic tank riser installed, saving you the hassle and cost of a location dig in the future.
So, what is a septic tank riser?
A septic tank riser is a concrete, or dense plastic pipe that runs from the pump-out openings or access hole at the top of a septic tank to about ground level. Usually between 2 and 4 feet, risers sit on top of the septic tank and allow easy access for pump and float switch repairs as well as regular filter cleaning and pumping.
Benefits of a Riser
- Easy ground-level safe access to your septic system
- Improved visibility into the performance of your septic system
- Provides safe and easy access for filter cleaning
- A reminder of where your septic system is
