Working as a subsurface disposal system, the drainfield removes contaminates and impurities from the wastewater sent from the septic tank.

In many cases, a failing drainfield cannot be repaired and must be replaced. Drainfields can fail due to bad components, poor maintenance, or improper installation. If you are adding on to your home’s size you may also wish to expand your current drainfield to allow for an increased capacity.

Normally replacing your drainfield requires excavation of the septic field to a depth determined by the Florida Department of Health.
