WHAT WE DO
Keeping your
system flowing
A key component to your septic system, your drainfield is essential for making sure waste water effluent is properly filtered and eventually absorbed into the ground. Whether you are in need of a new drainfield or are looking to have your current drainfield inspected, Accessible Septic's team of experts is ready to help.
What is a drainfield?
A septic drainfield (or leach field) is a subsurface soil absorption system for wastewater disposal from your septic tank. Consisting of an arrangement of trenches and perforated pipes, the drainfield channels the pretreated waste water from the septic tank to remove additional contaminants and impurities from the liquid discharge.
The liquid discharge (or effluent) is moved slowly through the drainfield and to the soil to become naturally filtered, reducing and removing harmful bacteria from the wastewater before returning it to the aquifer.
